Staring out at the rain with a heavy heart, It's the end of the world in my mind.
He groaned softly, stirred a bit in his sleep, but it hurt to move, so he didn't wake too much. Flashes of memory passed through his barely conscious mind, images of blood and violence. The memories of the nauseating fight he'd gone through to protect the young brunette. They'd probably be called dreams, but for him they were nightmares-things he'd rather leave forgotten instead of having them rise to his thoughts.
